Are you lying to yourself?

I was once a functional alcoholic
I was bulimic from 12 years old
I had distorted body image

I was scared to speak my truth and scared to be seen
I was confident but inwardly I was forever questioning myself
I wasn’t living true to myself

I was lying to myself - It was safer to not speak my truth and to not rock the boat
I believed It was safer to survive than thrive

In saying “yes” to everyone else I was hurting myself

But.. it was safer to hurt myself than to feel their disappointment or anger or sadness

It was safer to stay as I was than to feel rejection.

Are these words ringing true???

With coaching and therapy I’ve upgraded and it feels so freeing

I’m now a rapid abundance therapist a coach to worn out women that are overwhelmed

I support women to go from overwhelm to overflow

Yes it’s scary

What’s scarier??? Knowing that I was probably over half way through my life before I stepped into my true power

How one of my clients changed her life

I would love to pop a picture and name to this story but a promise in the PMS programme is to keep everything inside the group.
One of my lovely clients has recently been self isolating, she's the main earner in the house and still breast feeding a small child.
Instead of thinking about how shit this was to do (again) she decided to call it her self love retreat and to make sure that everyday she allowed herself pleasure.
Each day she used her voice to speak out about her needs, each day she made sure she got 20-30 mins alone time to do whatever she wanted.
On one day her partner wasn't being super helpful and was in a mood.  At first she thought "I won't ask for my time today as it will rock the boat." 
She then remembered everything she had learnt and how she can speak her truth without it being a row.  Once again the art of authentic communication came in and and she easily got the pleasure she deserved!

In 2020 I FUCKED OFF BUSY…It didn’t happen straight away…but as the months progressed and we headed to October half term I was doing more for myself and less for others.

And the results?

Happier, less anxiety, more fun, sexier, freer, more in love with my life and myself, more relaxed.

I felt like I was on a different frequency…a higher frequency and that gave me more abundance in life.

Richer in happiness.

Richer in my sexiness.

Richer in love for myself.

That low self worth, punishing myself, rewarding myself with clothes, chocolate, booze had been switched around and all easily done with a few minutes a day ME time.

We have all heard of the saying “fill your cup first.”

But who is really doing it?  Day in day out…not just self care Sunday's.

Let's train our bat wings so we can fly higher!

Let's teach our kids that exercise isn’t a punishment for what we ate.

That exercise is like taking a car to be serviced.  Our body and mind need constant love and upgrading.

Our mind is like a computer and self development is your minds latest upgrade.

Exercise smart instead of always hard and you will learn to love exercise again.

When planning your new years fitness goal, how about we come from a place of love and respect instead of punishment.

Let's exercise so that we have the strength to climb trees and swing from the monkey bars.

Let's exercise so that we can tie our own shoelaces when we are 80!

Let's exercise for bone density.

Let's look at exercise for ourselves like we do when walking our dog.

It's standard to feed your dog breakfast, pat it and stroke it and give it love and exercise it and then allow it to rest! Isn’t that how we should live our lives too?

How I am coping

Somedays I live in my pyjamas, other days I am in full make up, somedays it's mess and tears other days it's fun and calm.

But everyday is a self love day.

Everyday I give my body back what it deserves, everyday I focus inwards and everyday I grow and expand and teach other ladies how to feel limitless.  

2020 taught me so much.  All the stuff I had been burying and ignoring came to the surface.

Yes, I lost it with home schooling many times and yes I reverted (sometimes) back to familiarity of hitting the bottle of wine!

Maybe you ate your tense feelings, or hit the bottle too.

Maybe you started 2021 with high hopes and then have resorted back or not even bothered to get off the sugar and booze as that’s your crutch atm.

That’s ok!  I hear ya!

But…listen up and believe me….when you do shift your habits life feels so much easier.

When you wake without a hangover or disturbed sleep from a dry mouth caused by booze…the day feels so much...

Who is a powerful woman? Who's baddass?  Who’s a strong woman?

Women are all wonder women and super heroes, we so fucking are!

But…. are we missing out on saying YES, YES, YES to the life WE WANT TO LIVE?

Are we missing out on saying YES, YES, YES to ourselves because we are so fucking busy looking after everyone else?

What would happen if women really started living as empowered women?  Can you imagine the impact we would have then?!

Girl power and all that!

I think the last 50 years women have worked harder than ever to live like a man. That’s ace…. but we are still doing the “women’s” work. We are the CEO of the house and the CEO’s at work. How fucking awesome are we?!

That’s brill and well fucking done!

But…how awesome do you FEEL??????
